This week we I tested the panckaebot and attempted to make pancakes that looked like my favourite cat and made an interesting pcb design that alas, didn't come to life.
At first we decided to try out fiber laser machine to go through an entirely new process and design a double layer pcb to test it. I wanted to make a little Ankh earrings. Ankh or the key of life is an It is an Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol for "life" or "breath of life.
Components | Quantity |
---|---|
SMD Battery holder | 1 |
LED | 2 |
Resistor 200 ohm | 2 |
I got to Kicad and started my schematic and made sure I made sure my ERC is correct.
Then I went ahead and routed the traces using default trace width and used the Beizer Tool I free styled my way and was greatly inspired by waves and The Great Wave
We went ahead to a company where they had the fiber laser machine then tested the design rules pcb but this didn't work out as when we tried doing this the machine only made like a printing on the PCB that we could wipe off easily. We set the speed to 400 and power to 80 and tried different trials but none of them worked. I guess it could've worked if we repeated many times on the same spot but we didn't have the chance to do this.
Making some delicious pancakes as a self-soothing emotional-support way to get over not making my earrings? Yes thank u
I started by preparing the components needed for this operation
I measured the bowl I'll be using and zero-ed the scale then put 220g of the pancake powder which will need 300 milk since it was written on the back that the whole bag -440- grams will need 600ml of milk
Add the milk and wisk wisk
Add the butter, installing the head on the machine and I heat up the machine from the griddle's heater on the back. I decide to use a pre-made G-code from the online store on the creator of pancakebot. I choose this one of santa. I copied the file to the SD card then inserted it into the machine. then hit start
I wanted to make my own Ancient Egyption Inspired Pancakes. First I downloaded the PancakePainter and then I imported the image of Ankh. and played with the parameters
Then I exported the image as a gcode file and put it on the SD card.
Here's The Ankh the pancake
I tried to play the shape fill effective batter
Meet Sahloul. He's a cat we have at our lab and he's such a darling and I love him so much. As a joke I decided to my pancakes of his face.
Here I increased the blur in the parameters
